Can I name and shame my council?
When I say I've risked life and limb today to travel to pupes I am not exaggerating. The nearest I can get my car to home is about 1/4 mile away and even there the conditions are lethal. I was shaking with fear when I left the Bag-Mobile (affectionately known as "the snail" cos that's what it looks like

) and then had great difficulty staying upright for the walk back to Bag's Basket. The car certainly wasn't going above snail-pace today.
EVERY year this happens here - you can actually SEE the gritting line where Croydon council ends and my council begins. A b****y disgrace. When I first moved here we had a grit bucket in my road and even had that endangered species the gritting lorry visit but no more. Despite residents' best efforts we cannot keep this square mile or two safe without industrial strength salt/equipment.
Mind you, the old buttocks have toned up nicely with all the hiking/shovelling etc. I will bus it tomorrow which will mean me cutting it very fine to travel between two schools on time. Am so hacked off (must be furballs...)

Brilliant sunshine and - 15 degrees here this morning.
I was due to travel south today but my car stopped a minute or so after starting it saying 'fuel system failure'. I think the diesel fuel has frozen.
I will take my wife's (petrol) car instead as she refuses to drive in the snow!

I hate to say this but here in Gibraltar we have the most amazing weather today, about 22deg C and a beautiful sunny day. Not sure where it has come from but set in for a few days. It is unseasonably warm for us. No wonder my examiner was in such a good mood!!

We had more snow last night and had some heavy snow showers today - no chance of seeing the grass anytime soon.
On a happier note, it's a positively balmy -1 now - almost feel like I could take my coat off!!
The snow has made the icy paths a bit better to walk on anyway...
meant to be warming up this weekend, so hoping for a bit of a thaw.
