rain, and lots of it!

A mix of cloud and rain. Not great...

32 degrees and humid... and it's only going to get warmer this week...

It has been incredibly hot here in Hungary today - bearable when sitting in a cafe outside under shady trees, but unbearable inside - I have to say having 40 of us stuffed into a not-very-big classroom for a three-hour workshop this afternoon was the furthest thing from fun and I think we all thought we'd pass out (except for the teacher, who managed - as do all the Hungarian teachers - to stay looking cool and elegant throughout...).

However, about 20 minutes ago it started to rain and thunder and there is now a cool breeze coming through the window - bliss!!!

Don't know what it'll be like tomorrow though...

Wet and nasty when I left Wirral at 6.20, but improved as I came over M62, its quite pleasant in Horsforth now, blue sky, a few white clouds and some sun.

Not bad, dry and reasonably bright.

After several really foul days - cloudy, hot, cold, raining heavily, headache inducing - it's cool with clouds but also some blue sky - I'd almost forgotten the sky is blue! Don't look now but there's a bit of sun - oh, never mind it's gone now.

The first time for around a week I woke up to sunshine streaming through the window. ,Now it is grey and threatening rain. I am wondering if this thread slipped a long way down because the weather has been so dull everywhere no one feels like bothering with it!!

Scotland (well Glasgow and central anyway...) has just had the most amazing week of gorgeous, hot sunny weather... Woke up today to rain though Still only to be expected!!! lol.

I have never known Hungary so cool at this time of year. The first four or five days of the course were the usual steaming heat but since then it's been rainy (more thunderstorms and torrential rain this afternoon) and really quite cool at times. Makes me feel quite at home!

another grey and overcast start here, still rather warm though.

It is only 09.30 as I write and I have already watered the garden in anticipation of what is obviously going to be a scorcher.

I can't believe what lovely weather I have come home to!

Normally Hungary is SOOOO hot in the summer, but this time we only had about five days like that - then there were tremendous thunderstorms, torrential rain, high winds and it was COLD when I left yesterday! The Hungarians were saying that they've never known weather like it in the summer before...global warming???
