Hi everyone! I've just joined this forum so I thought it would be appropriate to introduce myself. I'm in secondary school in the North of Scotland, and I've just started my sixth year there.

I've been interested in music since primary school when I started playing the recorder. In primary 7 I took up the violin, and made significant progress when I was passed on to another teacher in 2003. At the moment, I think I'm estimated at being about grade 7, and I'm a member of two orchestras - HRYO and HYSO (of which I'm one of the leaders).

I'm about to start the Advanced Higher Music course, which I'm really looking forward to. I'm hoping to expand on my current selection of compositions for String Quartet as part of my folio, as well as perhaps composing something contemporary or minimalist.

For Higher Music I was taught to sing, and so I'm also going to sing for AH.

Well, I hope that I haven't bored you all too much!
