Has anyone heard of/heard this work?

There was an extract from the beginning of it as part of the OU course I'm studying, and it was weird and unusual, but at the same time strikingly beautiful.

Wondering if anyone else has come across it at all smile.gif

I'm so excited to see a post dedicated to an Aussie composer!! biggrin.gif

Yes, I do know the violin concerto, and quite a lot of Ross' work (and Ross himself too). Any questions just let me know smile.gif

Well, any comments/thoughts about the concerto would be cool - I've literally just heard the first 4 minutes and that is all! biggrin.gif I'd love to hear more about it!

Well if you've only heard the first few minutes, I definitely recommend hearing the rest of it. (I'd lend you the CD, but there's that whole problem of you living 17000km away!) Ross' work is pretty seminal in the Aust music scene - he's a contemporary of Sculthorpe who you might have heard of - he's our best known composer.
