I have entered the piano competition 8 times at school and got through 7 times...yeah. The one time I came third was in the singing competition when I was 12 (and I bet the only reason the girl who won did was because she dropped her music and cried.) The other time was out of school!

Our school doesn't have any music competitions...it's RUBBISH for music.

Theres only one music competetion that runs in my area, and I only heard of it in time to enter this year... I didn't realise you needed an accopmianist, I player with a CD ph34r.gif ph34r.gif

A result like that can really set you up for a few weeks.

Even if you are critical about your playing, there's at least one adjudicator who loves the way you play...you must be doing something right! wink.gif
