Hi everyone smile.gif,
I've just got a letter from my school telling me that I've won 3 subject prizes (one of them being music biggrin.gif)! Anyway the total is £24 and I have to choose books from my local shops (and luckily the music shop is included!) Can anyone recommend good books about musicianship or teaching or music reference books etc.? It would be good to get something that is meaningful and I will refer back to it in the future. I have nearly a month until the books have to be handed in so I could get the bookshops to order in some books if you can recommend titles.
Thanks,
Lil_miz_music xx

Two books I have recently read and enjoyed, I think maybe more aimed at teachers? but really thought provoking - Soprano on her head - Eloise Ristad, and The perfect wrong note - William(?) Westney. Soprano on her head in particular I got a lot out of smile.gif (despite the title, it's not particularly about singers smile.gif)

You could try having a look at this thread which has recommendations for musicianship books wink.gif

A book on your favourite music genre? A book on one of your favourite composers? The History of Music? Your favourite works as sheet music?
