hello every1. I need some help on chords and how to make them. I've been on various websites but they all say different things. I need some1 to tell me (or give me a website) explaining how to play normal, or power, or seventh or any other chords. Rules of chords if ya like. But if u are going to start talking about I and IV and X and that could u please xplain that or tell it another way.
Jazz man
I'll try and explain major and minor chords because i've got to go soon.
C major would be the 1st 3rd and 5th notes of C major scale. they are C E and G.
C minor is the 1st, 3rd and 5th notes of C minor scale They are C Eb G
If you want D major its the 1st, 3rd and 5th notes of D major etc.
Chords are often just notated using letters in music.
Some times the I IV V symbols are used but I haven't got time to explain them at the moment. Sometimes just the name of the chord is shown :
C (major) Cm (Cminor) etc.
I hope that helps but i'm not too good at explaining things.

Bye
