hello everyone again
What i wanted to know was, Can u just play the chords which are above the staves (i think thats what there called) to accompany a piece of music. And if so, how can u elaborate on these chords(add more notes after them, make them twice as long or what!)
some1 please help me with the accompaniment bit!

yes, but its been posted a million and one times!( the original quesiton i mean)
You can do almost what you want with that sort of accompaniments. 
experiment, and if something sounds good to you, it probably sounds good to other people aswell!
