Who has played Carl Maria von Weber's "Invitation to The Dance"? I am around Grade 6 standard and I want to ask if this song is suitable for me? It sounds lovely.

I'm sure it's in the grade 3 book for 2005-6. I'll check later and post back

NO it's not in the grade 3 book. But it is in music through time book 2 which is recommended for grades 2-3. I'm sure you could manage it - it looks fairly simple! And if you're grade 6 you could prbably add a lot more musicality than I could

I think magicflute must be talking about an arrangement or another piece with the same name, as it's definitely NOT easy, the one I'm thinking about.........

Invitation to The Dance is 8 pages long! Are you sure if the one on The Grade 2 bk is the original version? I think this is at least Grade 6

I did wonder whether it was an arrangement or just a different one! There we are!

I just know that there is an orchestra version which is edited by Berlioz. Invitation to The Dance became more famous because making it as an orchestra music.
