Can anyone tell me if i have this correct?

On test 7c of grade 7 aural exam, when naming the cadences it states that you need to either name the chord or use roman numerals (and it says roman numerals are needed in g8 so may as well start with roman numerals) - this may sound stupid, but when giving your answer to you say roman numerals as number i.e. V as 5 and not saying the letter V! hope that makes sense

My other question is are the possible answers are as follows in the g7 aural:

Imperfect cadence: IV-V
I-V
I Ic V

Perfect cadence: V-I
V7-I

Interupted cadence: V-II
V-III
V-IV
V-VI
V-VII

is this correct? thanks

Yes, I personally think you should say you say "5" not "the letter V". smile.gif

I think that's way more than what's required for grade 7..

Imperfect cadence:
I-V
IV-V

Perfect cadence:
V-I

Interupted cadence:
V-VI

I hope this helps. smile.gif Would anybody correct me if I'm wrong?

An imperfect cadence can also be II-V. But the perfect is always V-I and the interrupted always V-VI like you said. smile.gif
