Hey
I think this has probably been mentioned before, but is anyone going this year? I applied last week and have just found out that I got in!
Has anyone been before? Please tell me all about it!

I'm going this year, but it's my 1st time, so I don't know any more than you do. When I posted about it earlier in the year, everyone was extremely positive about it.

I hope to be able to go next year, although that rather depends on my getting "distinction grade 6 or equivalent". I live within commuting distance!

I'll be going this year for the first time, having been on other piano courses in the past. Really looking forward to it, looks like a packed schedule!
StuMac
I shall be there! Was there for the first time last year - really enjoyed it.

See ya there!
lizbun
Hmmm. What is it like and what do you do apart from being taught?

I might go next year if my parents say I can (unlikely, becuase it's expencive), and it's a good experience/

hannah - What other courses have you been on? This will be my first, but I'm really looking forward to it!

StuMac - Which teachers do you have this year? And did you do any of the other activities last year (Alexander technique etc.)? I put down the Alexander technique class, but when Kathryn was on the phone she said Eurythmics was really good fun so now I'm doing that too!

lisbun - It's basically a week course where you have 3 lessons (an hour each) and you can practice as much as you like and there's recitals and masterclasses all the time that you can go to, but theres also trips to Art Galleries, Museums and shopping!! biggrin.gif It looks great fun - here's the link - http://www.piano-festival.co.uk/

Looking forward to meeting all you forumites!

Woo! Not long to go now!
I'm heading to Glasgow on Friday and going Glasgow-Manchester on the Saturday, as I get travel sick going long distances.
Are you looking forward to it?
I am! biggrin.gif
What pieces are you bringing?

Yamaha and I have performed the Richard Rodney Bennet "Country Blues" from 4 piece suite for 2 pianos three (yes three) times now and it has gone down really really well. We're going to do the Finale for next year as well, and possibly some more.....love duos and duets...and was in music heaven yesterday afternoon visiting the music department of a well-known music shop not a million miles away from Chets... what a difference to my local music shop....they have....loads of music, loads of different editions, loads of duets and it all talks to you and says "Buy me" !! wub.gif

I don't know if I met any of you?
Must find out!
I made loads of great friends, from many different places, and I plan to keep in touch with as many as possible!
Did everyone enjoy it?
How amazing was the last night?!
Cabaret was soooo good.
I didn't get to bed til half 5 wacko.gif
So was rather tired in the morning!
What was everyone called who went? And what do you look like?
Just so I can check if I know anyone...
