Hello,
I'm trying to learn Schubert's Impromptu in G flat (opus 90 no 3). Can anybody explain to me why the middle voice is always played as eight groups of three notes and not four groups of six (as is written)? This is particularly puzzling as it is marked alla breva x2 which, I assume means four in a bar. I'm sure there is a simple explanation but I would be grateful if somebody could clarify the point for me.
