I really want to take singing lessons, its something i have always wanted to do, but, I can't sing. Im not exagerating here, i really CANT. I dont know how to sing in tune. My teachers have always assumed I can do it which is probably why I always fail the aural in my flute exams. I avoid taking grades just to avoid doing aural. The conductor always used to say "If you can't sing it. you have no hope in playing it", which says a lot about me really. Plus im really shy when it comes to singing. I would like to find a teacher, but I'm worried they would laugh at me or something equally as humiliating when they heard me sing. What do people think? Should I go for it or not? unsure.gif

they (teachers) won't laugh at u.... they won't be teachers if they laugh at you when u sing....teachers ar to help u...in this context... to sing.... just go for it.... u can sing whatever u like...it can be classical or pop or anything.... it's the passion that counts...

Yes, go for it. You can always give it a miss after a few months if you really hate it. But you might surprise yourself after a few lessons, and have the confidence to go on and do more. It will also help you with your other instruments, and may be then you will want to go on and do grades. Be brave and have a go!

I used to pay £25 per hour, but now I pay £18 - for an hour, but I get taught for 45 mins, on the understanding that my teacher is quite chatty, and she always ends up talking too!
