I seem to remember something on these forums about piano holidays in the malvern hills, and one of the holidays was a crash course in scales.
Does anyone know anything more about these? I've looked on the internet and can't seem to find anything concrete about it, my searches just keep bringing up this forum.

I really need help with my scales, missed out on an exam date this time round because my scales were non-existant and my teacher wanted them to be a bit better before putting in for the exam.

I don't know about the courses, but things that might help with scales are..

Getting to grips with the theory - ie the note patterns of the scales and how they are constructed, so that you really understand what you are playing, rather than trying to remember seemingly random note combinations.

Try looking at this for some help with fingering and 'context' for scales.

Good luck.
