in C3 at the end of the 1st line(don't know bar no as its not in front of me!) i cannot stretch the 10th from E to G. will i be penalised if i didnt play one of those notes?

I think it would be OK to spread the chord slightly... they won't expect you to stretch a 10th. Which piece is that?

I don't think you'll lose marks if your hands are too small but spreading the chords may be better.

ok thanks. i think on the cd the notes are spread but i was just checking! i think its called Bagatelle number 9 or sumthing. cant say exactly coz im at the poolsidein menorca lol!!

i only can stretch to 1 octave as my hands are tiny!

I think so too.
Seem to remember the "official" line (in general, not specifically for this piece, I haven't seen the teaching hints for next year's pieces yet),
is that if you can't stretch, it's ok to spread, provided the musical result is satisfactory.
