Anyone else starting their holidays tomorrow?

I have Monday and Tuesday nhext week as well. I'm not really sure why.

Glad that's not me. I remember back in Year 7 when the last day of school was on my birthday...

Tomorrow is my friend's birthday too, but it's ok because we'll probably do very little, and we're planning a common room party for her. Jelly and cake...

I've been on holiday for nearly three weeks already!!!

But that means that we in Scotland have to go back to school earlier than the English and Welsh students. It's all fair!!!!

We get two extra days, for some reason...

Lots of Piano practice, so that my piano teacher will let me do grade 7 in November this year instead of march next year Lol

Yep, double maths tomorrow lesson 3 and 4 and then that's it. Woot.

I know same !!! Woohoo!!! But yeah we go back earlier than the English and Welsh which is kind of fair!!!

Wait, aren't you in the same year as me? But I started my holidays last week! But I guess it could be because they're knocking down the high school!

Yep, me too!!

I finished school last Wednesday But we go back on the 5th of Spetember, which is quite early...

We go back on the 31st August! And there's results day mid-august!

Results day! Nearly 3 weeks to go...!

I'm actually thinking that I'll probably be more worried about these results than next year's, because they're partly what determine whether you get an offer from certain Unis or not...

Meeeeee!!!!!! Hoorah!!!
We go in for a half day, in non-uniform, and get to go home around half 12 for a 6 week holiday.
But 6 weeks isn't long enough.

Wobby - I had been pushing that thought out of my mind! I think I'm going to cry... My own fault though, I knew I should've revised properly.

Yep we're in the same year, but I think it's different round the country. My friend just told me we get 7 weeks rather than the 5 I imagined

I remember the last day of my junior school. Several of my friends were crying and I could not understand it at all. I could not wait to get out of the place. We had our autograph boks in class and were asking our friends to sign them and draw pictures and so on. The class teacher had been asked to sign some too as she wandered around the class. She picked up my book and started to write but I told her that I did not want her to sign mine! So now I have a book with one line of her drippy verse in and no signature. That was the first time that I had ever stood up to an adult and I felt that I had come of age! I was so pleased with myself.
Good luck to all of you who are leaving school and moving on. Your schools are almost certainly far nicer places than mine was.

I really really didn't want to leave primary school. High school was very different in every way - the people all seemed "well 'ard". After a few months though, I started to feel like I'd grown out of primary school, and everyone from my year went their own seperate ways...

I left my grammar school in 1962 and it still hurts!!!

I'm leaving school in 10 months

I'm also on holiday already, three and half weeks to go, but I have almost 4 weeks off in October

technically i finished school on the 23rd may for study leave!
but finished my gcses on 15th june so have already been off for 1month and 4 days!
cant recall actually doing much! lots of practise for violin exam though!
work experiance and grade 8 though so not bad!!!

I can't believe that I'm going to be in year 10 in 6 weeks time...

We break up tomorrow! So i have one day left. no doubt it'll be one day of watching movies and doing no work!

It's only a few days later than most people. I'm not sure when I'm back.

I'm a year 9 in secondary school.

Here secondary schools finish between 1st and 4th June

We're all still doing exams at that point!

Year 12, 13 now I suppose... but I mean we're still doing exams in June, not now.

Technically I finished on Thursday, but the last week was work experience and the week before that I was on a trip, so it feels like I've already been off for two weeks!!
And you think it's bad having the last day of school on your birthday, my cousin nearly always has to go back in september on her birthday!!

I said that every year! This year - I can't believe I am going to university!


I always had exams on my birthday

I had exams the day before and the day after my birthday this year..

Had exams on my birthday this year, just year 10 mocks though. Will probably have them on my birthday next year as well

My Birthday's June 15, so I'm likely to have an GCSE Exam on my 16th...
No mock exams on my 15th though, becuase It's a Sunday Lol



Just realized that things will be very different when I come back in Sept.

• The school Hall will become a new Music and Drama performance area. Well, hopefuly. I don't know if the builders can do it in 6 weeks...
• I will be in a new tutor group
• New animals for the school farm, and more wildlife near the new school pond.
• School radio station

What about everyone else?

When I go back very little will have changed. No more maths, the new sports centre will still be a million years away from being finished... I'll be in the same tutor, but looking at uni options, and will have more of an idea where I'm aiming for uni.

Umm... hopefully six weeks will magically transform me into a beautiful and talented genius, with straight As, and a way with interviews... but I guess that might be a bit too much to ask?
