I have been having my usual nose through the recorders on Ebay and have seen one that I am almost certain is one of my old ones that I sold to a pupil years ago. It was quite a good instrument and I want it back! I don't need it but I feel that I abandoned it and now it is about to be orphaned yet again. Is anyone else as daft and sentimental over their ex-instruments?

Thats terribly sentimental but actually rather sweet, if you want to get it back then go get it I say...welcome it back to the family home like the Prodigal recorder...I am sure it will respond to your ministrations...

Get bidding..

Was he a Bass in the Flute section?
petrat
No, not a bass. he is a soprano. Is there a Roessler bass there?

I was bidding opn a Bass of unknown make, someone advertised it as a large flute, I didn't get it mellow.gif
petrat
Sorry about that. There are some very odd things in the flute section.
sarah-flute
I've seen all sorts of things misadvertised, it's often quite amusing.

utterly - I have real problems parting with them.........actually make that I never manage to part with them.

I keep having good intentions about selling the spare Eb clarinet or one of the spare Bb clarinets, or the spare alto sax. Its never happened. I blame my Dad, after telling me that my plastic clarinet would have to be traded in for my 1st wooden one I was upset but the reward was worth the pain. When it got to the purchace day he changed his mind on the grounds that 'a spare might be useful'. Somehow that has stayed with me, though the plastic clarinet has been useful as it gets played outside in cold weather.

I have a few flutes.

I actually played my first flute in my DipLCM exam as its metallic tone suited the piece very well.
