I was just wondering for in the future what qualifications you would need to be a music examiner. As, this is the road I would like to go with music. Any help/responses would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I don't know about qualifications (someone else might know more) but I was told that to be an AB examiner you have to be over 30 (don't know if this still is the case).

Have a look here . No specific qualifications specified but one basically has to be well qualified and have some involvement in music. Examiners are often school music teachers, professional performers (generally not of the international concert stage type), instrumental teachers or other people otherwise professionally involved in music.

professional performers (generally not of the international concert stage type),

I'm trying to imagine what would happen if that were the case...Maxin Ver-whatsisface popping in to examine your G1 violin, Yo-Yo Ma moderating your G5 cello, etc, etc, etc...

Yes, the piano skills required are prohibitive to a lot of non-keyboard teachers. Which is a pity as I think the exam system would benefit from more variety of instruments being represented. The piano skills required for Trinity Guildhall are not nearly so taxing.
I have a friend who is a well-known singing festival adjudicator and TG examiner. It's the piano part for aural and sight reading that she hates the most.
