I was wondering if anyone else found the accompanying CDs for the edition peters books found that the fast movements were too fast and the slow movements to slow?

I have mozart concerto for flute in D, Clarinet Concerto in A and Pachelbel's Canon in D for string quartet with violin 1 missing to play along to.

But with all of these, the fast movements in the clarinet concerto are near impossible to tongue at the speed the cd goes to!!

Am I the only one?!

I've only got one Edition Peters playalong CD, for the Weber Grand Duo Concertant, and the tempi seemed OK there.

As for the Mozart, I've got the AB playalong CDs, and timings are as follows:

1st movement 10m 20s (Grade VIII CD, 2000-2003 syllabus)
2nd movement 6m 54s (Grade VI CD, 2004-2007 syllabus)
3rd movement 8m 37s (Grade VIII CD, 2000-2003 syllabus)

Tempi here seem OK too. How do these timings compare with the Edition Peters disc?

1st I dont have this on my iPod so I dont know.
2nd 6:26
3rd 8:19

So there isn't too much of a difference I suppose
