A couple of times recently, I've been looking at Baroque music, and instead of the time signature being say 2/4, it just says 2 (or I've also seen it as 3). What does this mean?

I don't know if it mentions it on there. There is something about seeing a 3 and it meaning 2:3 proportion..?

Sorry, I can't be of more help.

Cheat a bit! wink.gif Work it out from the grouping of notes in each bar! Is this the music I saw last week?

Yep, and then today in the music shop, I was flicking through some Blavet duets and that did it too

The '3' apparently means:

2:3 proportion (similar to triplets)
