I have just got a distinction in my grade 8 singing exam, I actually have a BA in Music performance but never got around to actually doing grade 8!
I am thinking about doing the DipABRSM but looking at the prerequisites it seems if you have
'A university music degree with verified performance modules,
such as final-year recital (required: copy of degree certificate,
breakdown of results, and reference from course tutor/
instrumental teacher affiliated with university)'
then it would act as a prerequisite for the dipABRSM and could work towards the LRSM?
In the the final year we did recital preparation and a performance module in which I did a piece from the Dip list.
Does anyone have any idea if they think that would be suitable and if it would be a good idea to leap to the next diploma?
thanks
Jenni
