Entertainment coming your way from the forum concert organisation committee
Saturday February 9th Katyjay, as many of you will testify, knows how to sing. In spades. Next Saturday, you have the chance to come and listen to her, live in concert, at Rotherhithe (Bermondsey tube is nearest station). Tickets are available on the door, the website is
here.Saturday February 9th Skylark's first Leeds playday, details are somewhere in this sub-forum, on a separate thread.
Sunday February 17th The second Market Harborough playday for 2008. These are very relaxed ensemble playing opportunities, I can cater for any standard from about grade 2ish upwards.Saturday March 1st Come and hear andante_in_c and I in the second Rotherhithe recital. Music from Finzi, Gaubert, Laurie Holloway and Shostakovich, amongst others.
Saturday March 8th/Sunday March 9th Petrat's Anglesey forum concert, the first one of the year. And my word, petrat has worked really hard to organise this.

Website with full details is
here.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Other event progress:
* Still no concrete news on Farnborough I'm afraid. But rest assured there will be a South East England forum concert at the end of October.

* I'm in the first stages of organising (initially) a small scale forum event (playday or similar) in North Essex, this summer, in conjunction with clarinet_michelle.
* A reminder that the forum single reed day will be in Deptford/Greenwich on
Saturday 20th September and will provide opportunities to play and talk about all things single reed. Applications for this will open in May, and places
will be limited so get those applications in as soon as you can when the application address is published.

Have a look at the calendar for 2008 at the top of the thread, and, if you haven't been to an event before, see if you can make 2008 the first year you come to one - you won't regret it

Edit : next Market Harborough playday will now probably be in April. The 17th February regrettably has had to be postponed.
