Howdy folksies!!! chorale.gif

It's me again, the guy waiting for his Grade 5 clarinet results. I'm just thinking if any of you know of a simple but highly respectable composition for the clarinet - can be trio, quartet or quintet. rockin.gif Preferably, there should be parts for the violin and cello. violin.gif I'm thinking of playing with friends. I've looked primarily at quintets. Mozart's clarinet quintet seems OK. The second movement is in the Grade 6 syllabus so it can't be very tough. But most of them seem a bit too tough for me. I don't mind playing only the second movement because second movements always are more up my street. My friends who play the violin and cello aren't very good either.

I just heard Bernhard Crussel's Clarinet Concerto No. 1 and the second movement is so beautiful I am determined to buy the score from sheetmusicplus on the internet. It does sound simple enough for me to try to play it. Hehe jumpin.gif

I used to play Haydn trios with friends although it means rewriting or sight transposing one of the violin parts
