Aha! a clear opening

Barbican
superpyroman
I could have win now if it wasn't for SueHM's move. She certainly knows her stuff.

Leicester square
Miss Ross
Oh dear superpyroman...

Mornington Crescent
superpyroman
Curses! Should've seen that coming. Looking back, I could have won if I had jad Picadilly circus then. sad.gif

Warren Street
SueHM
Angel

(Thus avoiding Superpyroman's poorly disguised proximity play)
superpyroman
Ha! That was merely the Tower Gate startegy disguised as a poorly disguised proximity play. Now I can go on to Tower Hill

I believe a similar thing was done in the world championship at some point.
SueHM
I bow to your superior gamesmanship.

I shall try a new tack....

Hyde Park Corner!
superpyroman
I think you may have forgotten the Churchill rule introduced in 1999 which means you can't use the Hyde Park strategy. I hope you haven't thought of a new strategy using it.

Tower Gate
Miss Ross
Moorgate
SueHM
The Churchill rule was overturned when it was shown to be inconsistent with the Montgomery Axioms. Do keep up!

superpyroman
Mornington Crescent!

I always thought the Montgomery axioms were overturned instead. Either way, you forgot about the Knightsbridge route and so I win.
SueHM
I don't want to play any more, I'm taking my bat in...

Gants Hill (where I've been this afternoon)

Not sure what I'm supposed to be doing, though...unsure.gif

That should have saved it for you Katy, but with the current restrictions on Covent Garden...

Bayswater

Picadilly Circus

That should at least mean no one else can win for two gos while I figure out what you're all doing.

SueHM
Just checking, would hate to see you disqualified for a foul...

Going back on a useful little rule devised in 1993 Kings Cross

A personal favourite of mine
superpyroman
good move. It scuppers my plans.

Sloane Square

You've got me stumped. I'm just going to have to go with Picadilly Circus and hope that you're next move reveals your plan
SueHM
I never divulge my methods

Mansion House

Your move laugh.gif
superpyroman
I see what you're trying to do! Using the old Winchester rule that everyone always forgets. Fortunately I had East India previously which allows me to go to Mornington Crescent
SueHM
Foiled again! ill.gif
superpyroman
It was a close one though. It was purely by chance that I had already been to East India.

Let's start with Leicester Square

Brent Cross

An unusual move from Miss Ross there...

You are coming dangerously close to a repetition penalty Superpyroman.

In general yes, but there are some notable exceptions, namely West Rusilip, West Brompton, Waterloo, Willesden Junction, Walthamstow Central - you get the idea.

Greenwich is always a safe bet
katyjay
Greenwich! I didn't see that coming....

Ah well...Notting Hill Gate

Oh, very well done. A neat right-hand diagonal.

Thank you, I learnt that one from a grand master.

Shall I begin?
