Fantasia in P major
Does anyone know the pieces from the current Guitar Grade 4 syllabus and have any favourites?

Which syllabus are you looking at? (ABRSM or Trinity?)

Were there any you were particularly interested in considering?

ABRSM syllabus.

Actually it is for my daughter but it would be really helpful to have a CD of pieces. Do you know if one exists?

Familiar with Senor Sor, Baroque and Gutarist Progress Books which seem to account for around half of A and B.

As for C List only know the "Mississippi Ditty" by L. Clarke - which is a fantastic piece. Oh and I suppose, Paul Simon's famous"El Condor el Paso".

tremolo
In list A, Carcassi opus 60, no. 7 is a great study to master as it introduces tremolo combined with rapid arpeggio passages. I still play this study regularly even though I'm now working for my grade 8.

In list B, Kellner's Aria is a beautiful piece.

In list C, Gerald Garcia's studies are definitely worth looking at. I also like Nuttall's Mexicana because it allows a lot of expression via vibrato, slides and rubato.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the recommendations.

Just watched Carcassi opus 60, No. 7 on Youtube and it is a brilliant piece and am off to buy the music!
