Hi,
As im sure a lot of you know (due to all my posts) i STILL do not have my singing exam result which i took six weeks ago tomorrow. I am now very worried as the exam was terrible due to recent illness, dissiness on the day and a kind of panic attack before it. I very nearly fainted. Anyway, my question is; Does it take longer for an exam result to come if you've failed. And teachers, If you have a pupil who fails are you reluctant to call them/
Many thanks,
xx

No it takes the same amount of time to come whether you've failed it or not.
And yes, I don't call students who fail. They come for their next lesson and then I tell them and go over the results with them with some words of encouragement, better given in person (i think?). Unless it's because of their own lack of practice, then I would add something about starting to work for it earlier.
Anyway all the best for your results. It definitely makes it harder when you are not feeling well, so don't beat yourself up over it.

The result certainly should have come by now. Why don't you call your teacher? I know it must be stressful for you, but it would be better to know. Your teacher might be reluctant to call you if you've failed, but you need to know. When have you got a lesson - is it not until Sept? If that's the case, you really should be told now. Do you know if your teacher's away at present - that might be why you haven't heard.
Whatever happens, good luck & don't be discouraged if it's bad news - I'm sure you can do better next time.

Oh your lesson is a long way away. I guess the only option would be to call your teacher then.

Alright, good luck then!

It's ok, just continue singing other things for fun or try a totally new style to refresh yourself. Lots of people have failed exams, me included. And I wasn't sick on the day of the exam either.
