My friend doesn't have singing lessons, but she is doing GCSE Music and needs to order some Andrew Lloyd Webber books for the voice. Where can I get them from? Would these be too hard? Could you give me some sites where I can buy music from which delivers to England? As I said she has never had singing lessons, but she thinks she is a soprano. Any other music that you would recommend for someone who is self taught?
Thanks.

You can get Andrew Lloyd Webber books from www.music-room.co.uk which are delivered all round the UK.Thats the best one I know-You can get pretty much anything.
I'm doing ALW songs and thats at A Level but some of his songs aren't too bad. I did Pie Jesu for both GCSE and AS but if she is self taught, that could damage her voice.'I don't know how to love him' is a good song, fairly basic but with a lot of room for expression and emotion, while being fairly lively, and so is 'Whistle down the wind'.If it doesn't necessarily have to be ALW, some other good songs to try are 'Tonight' from West Side story, but once again, I strongly advise you against the high version-i did this and its quite challenging, even after 4 years of classical training, 'My love is like a red, red rose', 'Carrickfergus' (in the charlotte church book) which is a traditional celtic song and is stunning, 'Tell me its not true' (Blood brothers) and 'Another suitcase in another hall' which is by ALW.I hope thats some help to you.
