Remember to rank your nominees if you're voting for more than one person; 1 being the highest and 10 being the lowest, so I knows how many points to give them. I will publish the league table periodically in this thread to give everyone an idea who is winning and whereabouts they are in the table.

A 'newbie' is anyone whose member number is 8320 or above (as last year's awards ceremony was November 21st).
For a list of those members who are eligible for this category:

- Click on Members at the top of the page.
- Go to 'Toggle More Options'.
- Where is says 'Join date', you want to search for those members who joined more than the 11-21-2006.
- At the bottom of the page, (to get the best results) you will need to search for all members by total posts in descending order with 50 results per page. Click on 'Go'.

The PM lines will close on Sunday 19th August at 2130 BST, which is when I will announce the winner of the category and post the final league table after a weeks worth of voting. In addition, the PM lines will open for the next category (Most Cheerful Poster).

I have been very busy since February

Well, I've managed to shorten my list of contenders to just under 20 names.

I was amazed that some people were newbies. It's lovely how people who've joined so recently have quickly become regulars, and feel as if they've been here for ages.

There are a few I think should get a special mention but not be voted for because they aren't really newbies, just re-registrations. I've listed them in my PM to Car Expert - he can decide if that's what he's going to do or not.

Not trying to be a spoilsport, but voting for the same person twice is not really fair on everyone else...
