Don't forget oh ye stargazers - it August and the Persiads are in town - or in the sky and the sky is clear and the moon is new so not much light interference. Peaking tonight - so put yer clocks on for just before dawn for the grand finale.

Err - not sure ! Around 4ish? I've just been out but only saw one shooter but Persius is moving into a better position now so I'm optimistic I'll see more before I turn in. I do live slap bang in the middle of a big city though so it's not ideal. It's sooo warm out there tonight and the other stars are really putting on a great display. I used to live slap bang in the middle of the countryside - oh how I miss a really deep night sky - especially when it used to snow!




It's one of the best annual meteor showers in the sky oh Skylark Usually it's cloudy or there's a full moon but tonight it's clear with a little puny new moon - so whey hey. The Grand Finale is on the 13th - which is now and they're gonna play Debussy (don't ask me why! - it's a long story!).
