Hi Everyone!!!

I have to play my Violin in the Tate Modern in December. I need help in choosing a piece.
It needs to be from Grade6-7 7max.
Any ideas?

Some or even all of the Dvorak Sonatina in G Op100 would go down well.
Theres a nice Spanish piece called 'Playera' by Sarasate which has been set before for grade 7.
and a nice piece by Sibelius called 'Romance'
Of course could you also manage the famous 'Meditation from Thais' by Massanet. Its about Grade 7.
'Salut d'Amour' by Elgar ??

Just a few ideas from pieces I played with my daughter.

wub.gif The meditation has rather become what I'm known for up here.
It's beautiful, and once you've got to grips with the more taxing positions it's very flexible and there's a lot you can do with it to make it your own.

How about La Paloma, the spanish air? smile.gif

Thanks for the suggestions!!!

beat me to it - those were going to be my recommendations. How long do you need it to be? The Dvorak is a delightful piece biggrin.gif
