We are launching a large music website in the winter. We plan to have some "own brand" beginners books published next year. We are looking for qualified enthusiatic teachers who would like to contribute to / write the books. The first run will be straightforward books, containing, scales - simple tunes (by the author)-exercises (by the author) tips and hints - and so on. We are interested in teachers of all instruments, but our initialk interest lies in saxophone,clarinet,violin,piano, drums and guitar. Alternatively if you are a teacher who does not wish to contribute to a book but has some suggestions on what you look for in a beginners book please post any suggestions.

A few thoughts. (Piano)

No big jumps in difficulty.
Plenty of reinforcement at each point.
Not too much fingering written in.
Maybe a move away from the overused middle C position.
Something for older beginners.... adults don't usually mind books aimed at children but pre teens and teens do.
Theory to support the practical.
