Hi!

I want to know about this piece, it is Baroque or Classical style? If this piece is Classical style, why does it appear in List A section?

Thanks smile.gif
Scaramouche
Look at the composer - it's Beethoven, so highly unlikely to be Baroque. I've found List A to generally be a mixture of Baroque and Classical. List B is more Romantic and then much more modern pieces for List C.

I think that list A is more about finger agility than anything.
Tends to be mostly Baroque but not necessarily.

List A is there to show agility and technical ability. Broadly speaking, this does tend to be Baroque music but not always - sometimes you get Shostakovich on list A.

I've never thought about that, but yeah, List A is about Agility. Romantic pieces tend to need streatch, not agility, so classical and baroque pieces come in.
