Has anyone recently submitted an application for an exam in the C period. I put mine in some time ago and haven't heard back with a date yet. I have rung them and she said to give it a bit longer. Has anyone else had a long wait to get a date before? This is for a violin exam.

The reason for the long wait is that you've been very early and organised . The closing date for the C period isn't for another month or so yet. After that, when the AB have all of the entries in, they can then sort out which examiners will go where, and when they will go and schedule all the exams appropriately. So you'll still have a while to wait yet because you'll have to wait for the rest of the entries to be in.

Thank you. I do tend to expect replies back quite soon! You are right - I expect they will wait until the closing date for post and online to go by first.

Meanwhile I'll just keep practising. Haven't done a violin exam before only piano ones, so rather nervous!

Usually you get 2 -3 weeks notice (sometimes a bit more).
Don't expect to hear before at least the second week in October.
