With some trepidation I'm thinking of joining this in September to get some playing-with-other-people experience etc. There's the Symphony orchestra as well but the standard is grade 7/8. Just wondered if anyone else has been/is involved and what they thought of it?

Haven't played in it, but am thinking about it for the upcoming term as I miss playing in a group! Would also be interested to hear any opinions...

There's also the Yorkshire Late Starters Strings (http://www.ylss.org/) in Leeds on a Saturday morning, which I'm considering going to as well.

Joining the Sinfonia is my first orchestral goal as you 'only' need to be G4/5 for that one. Will be a long time before I'm ready for the dizzy heights of the symphony orch proper!!!!

Well I've signed up for it and just hope I haven't been a bit overconfident....there's a few weeks left yet before the term starts in which to really lose my nerve.
