what is your favourite school? my favourite is impressionism.

I don't know about school exactly, but my favourite 20th century composer is Messiaen & I've just ordered some Takemitsu, which I hope I'll like. I've also just started learning some Webern.

I love some of the works of Messiaen. "La Transfiguration de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ " has some wonderful moments. I would really like to see and hear this live. I think of him as a neoclassist but others may disagree. I am a huge Britten fan also but my all time favourite has to be John Tavener.
