Hi
I'm trying to find my cello teacher a humerous cello book for her birthday (she's 18) - not a joke one, but some witty easy reading material!
Does anyone know of any, or know where I can find some, I can't find any decent ones anywhere!
Thanks,

I can only think of the Hoffnung books. The Hoffnung Guide to the Orchestra might fit the bill.

There is a lovely little book called 'Cellotude' which might fit the bill. It's written by Sara Lovell (apparently an acclaimed international conert cellist) and published by Beautiful Books. You can find out more on www.beautiful-books.co.uk. The ISBN number is 1-905636-02-4

Thanks all!

A friend gave me this book as a present:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Musicians-Dictiona...r/dp/0920151213

It's not just about cello, but it is really funny. (Here's a sample joke - Definition of oboe, an ill wind that no-one blows good. Every instrument and player gets the treatment)

Oops sorry, just spotted that you didn't need any more suggestions, flute_crazy. Never mind, someone else might enjoy this one.
