This has probably had lots of other threads, but since my computer is playing up randomly today I thought I would quickly write my question as a forum posting instead.

I have my first recorder pupil and want to enter him for his Grade 3 Exam in November December. How do I go about doing this? It is the first time I have ever entered a pupil for an exam so I'm not sure of the procedures?

Some helpful tips and answers would be very much appreciated!!! Thanks!

You can use paper or online form for this.
For online you will need to apply for a password to access it anduse a credit/debit card to pay.
You can ask for a form to be posted to you or might get one from your local music shop.

Just a couple of thoughts......

In addition to all the practicalities of sending off the entry, make sure you get the exam fee money from the pupil before you send off the entry (there have been some posts about this, i.e. difficulties of getting the fee once the entry has been made).

Once you've sent it off you'll receive a receipt from the board but won't receive the actual exam date until approximately 2 weeks before the exam.

I did my first ones on paper...but now do it online... it feels more flexible and the closing date is later...so gives you the extra time....I ask for exam fees to get to me before the paper closing date so that I am covered. I think I'm just repeating others really. I was really anxious the first time...I had three singers(g 2 3 and 3) and two recorders(g2 and3).I was hugely relieved when I got the confirmation back. Good luck.
