I just can't describe how brilliant it was!!
It was so utterly camped-up, full of eighties music, brilliantly acted and the costumes were totally Out of This World ( a cliche I know but they were that good ). I was in stitches for hours! I would absolutely LOVE to see the whole show again but they're only on in Australia and I can't get back there soon enough
Now I'm home in the UK my dear husband bought me the film (1994 with Guy Pearce and Terrance Stamp) and it's hilarious but not as good as the stage show. Tonight I have ordered the soundtrack CD from the stage show from Australia and am looking forward to it arriving.
I'm probably the only person on earth who has NOT seen 'Cats' and in fact the last stage show I saw was when I was 13... we're not into 'musical' shows as a family. But I'm beginning to think I'm missing out on all these huge, lavish productions and would love to have seen 'The Lion King' because I believe the staging and costumes were magnificent.
So what are your favourites?
