Dear teachers/other forum visitors: smile.gif
I'm accustomed to the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada and have recently moved to the US. RCM publishes their entire piece suggestions in 1-2 books (per respective grade). I currently have a piano student who wishes to take a gr. 3 level ABRSM exam yet I am not sure what is the most cost-effective and efficient way to preview ALL of the List A/B/C pieces. I know that there are books available through the ABRSM publishing site, that include 'selected' pieces; is there not a publication that includes ALL piece selections? Any thoughts or ideas are most welcome!!
Much thanks,
Canam

If you buy the ABRSM Grade 3 CD, that has all the pieces on it, so that you could hear them all before deciding - that's probably more cost-effective than buying every single one of the relevant books! smile.gif

Unfortunately, there is no book that contains all the available pieces for a grade. You will get 3 pieces each for sections A, B and C in the standard grade books. it really is worth looking at the other pieces on the list though - there are often some real gems, and examiners appreciate hearing pieces that are played less often!

Thanks for both replies! I figured I may have to purchase the CD.
Have a great year!

There are often a lot of the pieces on Youtube...but not the whole selection.

Canam,

The RCM repertoire book for each grade covers only a small portion of the pieces listed in the syllabus!

For the ABRSM pieces that are not printed in the Selected Exam Pieces publications, you could probably find them in a large bookstore or music library.
