I just had another look into my scale book (which I don't do often) and saw that B minor & B major arpeggios aren't tested for grade 8 scales! This is a little odd, as all (or nearly all) other keys are tested. Can someone please confirm this for me?

Looking at the syllabus on the ABRSM website it looks like you have to do scales and arpeggios in all keys.

that's what I thought, immy, but my scales book says otherwise...

Could someone kindly answer this? my exam is tomorrow, and I feel safer knowing whether it'd be tested or not. thanks!

Immy is correct, you need to be able to do scales and arpeggios in all keys. The syllabus for grade 8 violin is here . The relevant bit is
QUOTE
SCALES AND ARPEGGIOS*: from memory, in the following keys:
Eb, E, F, F# majors; Eb, E, F, F# minors (two octaves)
All other keys G–D inclusive, major and minor (three octaves)

Good luck with your exam.

If in doubt, ALWAYS trust the syllabus rather than the scale book.
