Hi
Maybe you could have a look at Five Bagatelles by Finzi - nos 1 and 2 are grade 6, 3 is grade 3 and 5 is grade 8 - all past exam pieces and they are really nice to play. 4 is grade 7 ish I think and the best of the lot (IMHO)

Back to the finzi - not that I like it or anything - No 2 is slow and trill free!

I played it for my AS as an ensemble. It's trill free, but still quite tricky to play, maybe not technically, but in terms of tone. I don't particularly like it either, but the first one's good to play!

Now I am confused.. in one post tyou say you play to performance certificate standard and in another that you can't play fast or ornamented things well....
What level of performance certificate were you thinking of, because the first post seems to suggest that it is higher than grade 6 by which time you would be coping with these technical demands ?

Sorry, I don't think I got the right expression into my earlier post - what I meant was that I really love the whole set of bagatelles and think they're brilliant

especially nos 4 and 2!
