Some of the (confirmed) stories are astounding, albeit gruesome - not suitable reading for those who are squeamish!

Albert Einstein is known to have quoted the following:

"Only two things are infinite. The size of the universe and human stupidity... but I'm not certain about the former".


Think carefully about that one.

Has anyone else noticed the high proportion of Y chromosomes amongst the Awardees?!

Ah, the Darwin awards. Brilliant though sadly not updated as often as any of its fans would like. Always worth a read. Tip: Darwin awards books = popular Christmas presents!

I think we can safely say even without looking that there are at least as many, if not more, X chromosomes.

Quite right, especially as the minute proportion of XX's will be adding to the substantial proportion of XY's - do the maths!

(I did initially post some examples of awardees - all male - but being considerate decided that not everyone might have the stomach for them! )
