Who To PM
Car Expert

jumpin.gif

The PM lines have now opened for Category 14: Most Considerate Poster. Please PM me with up to ten votes, as to who you think is/are the most considerate poster(s). Remember to rank your nominees if you're voting for more than one person; 1 being the highest and 10 being the lowest, so I know how many points to give them. The person for whom you give 1st place to will get 10 points, regardless of how many other people you vote for. Remember you cannot vote for yourself.

I will try and publish the league table every evening (obviously this will depend on how many votes I receive before the previous update) in this thread to give everyone an idea who is winning and whereabouts they are in the table.

The PM lines will close on Sunday 23rd September at 2130 BST, which is when I will announce the winner of the category and post the final league table after a weeks worth of voting. In addition, the PM lines will open for the next category (Best Username).

Come, sit yourself down in this comfy armchair love. Pop your feet up on this stool and let me get you a nice hot drink. Are the cushions plumped up enough for you? Now don't be afraid to ask for anything.....

(Mind you Mr B being brought up by and married to programmers I know that you have to wait for things to happen. When we were kids as soon as my Mum requested her programme compile, she had enough time to take my sister and me shopping!)

I suppose that many of the private teachers here have evening work and fewer day pupils. I spend quite a lot of time writing at my computer and a dip into these forums from time to time makes a nice break. At the moment I am busy arranging songs for a choir concert next May. I want to get it all finished by the end of November before the Christmas rush and the rehearsals will begin in January.
jod
I'm in a similar position. Between 9 - 3 my children are at school and with one or two exceptions I'm not teaching. So this is the time where I'm sat at a computer doing various tasks from editing audio tracks, assessing potential new repertoire, research or composition. So I keep the forums logged on in the background then at my break times, check up.

Odd, this Poll coming at a time when I really feel I'm should be developing the ability to speak the following phrase, "No, do it yourself. Slavery has been abolished in this country, and not just reclassified as Motherhood". But I fear it will fall on deaf ears! laugh.gif Maybe if I just shout louder.....

NO, DO IT YOURSELF. YOU KNOW WHERE THE LAUNDRY BASKET IS.

How kind, thank you. smile.gif

Managed a thirty minute walk today, which probably doesn't sound like much to people, but it's a major achievement for me, so I'm happy about that. smile.gif Fingers crossed I'm on the up.

I'd hate to be thought of as an inconsiderate person, so if I ever do come across that way then please please please tell me. I'm not saying this for some dubious vote-generating reason but rather that this Poll, together with other things going on for me at the mo, has made me reflect on what's important and not important in my life. And being considerate of others is one of them.

Sorry, bit too deep and meaningful. Here, let me lighten the tone with a true anecdote. DH was offered an incentive for being a Nectar customer (can't remember the exact detail) and so he looked through the list of goodies and chose "A Free Golf Lesson". He just heard back from Nectar this afternoon that unfortunately it hasn't been possible to give him the golf lesson but they hope he will be happy with their alternative gift.... which turned out to be a sunbed session in a Tanning Salon in Bexhill! laugh.gif I swear this is true!!!

(Am having trouble managing 3 minutes at the moment so I can definitely applaud the 30 minutes!)
