This is my first post, as I've only just joined the Forum, which looks excellent.
So, it's probably far too late, but I have organised a Flute Day to take place in Norwich this coming Sunday, Sept 23rd, and if anyone would like to come there are still spaces.
The day lasts from 10-4pm, at the King of Hearts in Fye Bridge Street and costs £30. Yvonne McIlwaine of the British Flute Society runs the musical side of things - I just do the organising, being an adult learner who started about 6 years ago, and has plateau'd for the time being, after Grade 5.
On the day we play pieces as a big group, then break down into duos/trios and quartets for a while, then get back together to play through everything at the end of the day. It's always great fun, and a good chance to meet other local players.
Hmm - I haven't quite worked out how to get replies, but if you're interested, do reply to this post, and I'll visit the forum again soon to make contact.

Oh dear, I must have clicked in the wrong place...what I was trying to say was Thanks, Sarah. Norwich is a long way away - but maybe there are some East Anglians out there who could manage it...

Oh... I wish I'd known! My family live in Norwich and I'd have loved to have gone, but we've got the in-laws this weekend! Have fun though

Aw, someone told me about this, but it's too far away for me, sorry! Would have loved to have come

Thanks all - shame I didn't know about the Forums earlier.
I'm going to be organising other flute/wind ensemble events though, in Norwich and near Ipswich, so anyone who'd like to be sent info about these could PM me, and I'll add your email to my list. I'll remember to put up a post on here in good time, as well!
