I was in an observation ward until 2 am but was sent home again with some extra strong pain killers and something for the nausea. I saw my GP this morning and have been signed off work until 2nd November. I am looking forward to the break, and will be going across to Anglesey at the weekend!

I've just received a letter asking me to go for my results this coming Tuesday at 11.30. It means having to get to Wales a few days later than planned, but at least I'll know what's going on..... fingersCrossed.gif

Hi everyone..

Have just returned from seeing my specialist. I'm pleased to say all scans are clear!!! hurrah.gif They think my hearing loss was probably caused by a virus, but can't be sure. At least there is nothing nasty to worry about. I go back in a years time for a check up!

Thank you all again very much for your messages of support. I'm sorry I haven't been able to answer all PMs but I am grateful. xxx

I am off to Wales now for a much needed break.

PS...My specialist said I have the hearing of a 78 year old in my right ear!! I can therefore be a bone fide member of OLTVA!!! laugh.gif party1.gif

DC let me/us know what your results are, and what is planned next. As you know, I know what being in hospital is like; they still haven't let me out yet. Enjoy your time with Petra. Ring me if you need to.

Hi, this is DC!

Thank you all so much for your responses. The relief that there is nothing sinister going on is hard to put in words! Lots of tears from family when told the good news too. Just have to learn to live with the tinnitus and high pitched noises now.

But I can finally get back to my studying which has been neglected while all the tension was going on.
