Or, more accurately, don't join the club. And certainly don't found it. That would be terribly ironic.

I am going to join the club, because it accurately describes my feelings. Since YAP has taken the time to put it in place, I may as well... wink.gif

I take it that my "I failed sight-reading" club doesn't count then?! tongue.gif

Anyone want to sign up to the 'I love this thread' Club?

No? ph34r.gif

Probably just as well...

As Turing might have said: "I will only join this club if I'm not allowed to join!"

lucky045

Hey Lottie, out of interest are you Irish? I just read your post and imagined that you are, and now I'm wondering...

Stupid me... I just looked and you're Scottish. (It's because I've only ever seen "will I...?" written by Marian Keyes, who is Irish...)

Interesting wink.gif We're obviously all "capable" of "enjoying something without feeling the need to create/join a club to justify said enjoyment", but we create/join a club to share that enjoyment. A bit like music really wink.gif

So can I join the club please biggrin.gif

I had a similar reaction to the thread with all the clubs on - it wouldn't have seemed so dreadful if several posters hadn't quoted it in full! happy.gif

I think Skylark has hit the nail on the head here though, when she says clubs are about sharing enjoyment. It's fun to share, which may be why most of us use these forums in the first place, so I think I shall join the club!

I love doing things for personal enjoyment. Being a member of OLTVA gives me the freedom to escape into a fantasy life. However it doesn't stop me beavering away at practice, research and all that Jazz on my own.

Simply by being able to bounce ideas of Forum members is good enough without having a club for everything.

laugh.gif No I'm not Irish although we reckon there's something Spanish way back (probably the Armada in 1588 tongue.gif )

On reflection I would actually have to bring cake - I don't like biscuits wacko.gif
