You poor thing!! It must be the time of year for it, because on the Clarinet BBoard, which I look at quite often, someone posted just today with the very same thing.
I hope you feel better soon, and that you'll be able to eat chocolate again before too long. No crisps for a while, though............ sad.gif

Please accept this imaginary get-well-soon bunch of flowers <gives flowers>!
carys
Ouch! Poor thing, you must be feeling really miserable at the moment. Hope they heal quickly.
weejen
Ouch Nat you poor thing! Youll be fine and you wont take that long to recover! Youll be back playing your Clarinet and sax before you know it!

dry.gif Do you think this smilie could look like someone with tooth ache??

Or perhaps this one: mad.gif ~ Well thats Natalie with tooth ache~ furious and in pain.

Oh sorry I forgot about the sympathy part of this message, erm, get well soon, and in the meantime, listen to lots of music. (Or will that make you feel worse??

I'm off now to do some loverly flute practice (carefully spelt right) now. He he, I'm not doing very well at this am I.

Oh for goodness sake, smile Natalie (if you havent already by now!)r does that hurt too flaming much too!!

Oh poor you sad.gif I hope you feel better soon. At least you can still play your piano. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
TenorClef
Of course when you do get back into playing you are going to sound different for the gaps in your mouth. That may take some getting use to. It won't affect your standard of course, but if your a keen long time player you'll notice a difference. biggrin.gif
sbhoa
There may not be gaps.
I am guessing, but at Natalies age it seems more likely that the teeth were not fully erupted but causing problems.
My niece, who is a little older has that problem and is having hers removed this month.
cecilia
ohmy.gif Poor Natalie!!! I really sympathise because I've had all sorts of dental problems- I've been practically living at the dentist/orthodontist since I was seven years old!

I know what it's like not being able to play as well because of these [beep] joint problems I've been having recently... mad.gif

Aww, poor Natalie!!! I really hope you feel better really soon!!! smile.gif
saxlover
thanks everyone!

tamsin- i cant smile coz it really hurts! biggrin.gif so thats my pretend smile!

thanks for the flowers jo!lol

sbhoa- no my wisdom teeth hadnt fully come through, so they had to cut through my gum argh makes me sick thinking about it.

i can just about suck through a straw and thats it at the moment. my parents are having to make me strawberry milkshake with ice cream (all liquidised) so i can drink it through a straw!

ah well ive just got to cope with it and hope it gets better soon.
Rainbow

Maybe you can now play for just 5 mins a day or something, then gradually increase it as the days go by and your mouth heals.

You must be so frustrated at not being able to play properly, but it sounds like your mouth's on the mend so I bet you'll be able to play a lot more over the coming week.
saxlover
my mouth is on the mend thank god! and i want to play but i really did struggle yesterday so maybe i should just wait another week or so coz i DO NOT want to make it worse and then not be able to play for months! that would be a disaster.

then again not playing might have its positive sides. i can only now practice piano which will help as ive got an exam coming up rolleyes.gif

Banana milkshakes are good too, and you can get bananas outside the strawberry season. For a complete food, try Complan (if you can still get it [??]). I used to lunch on the plain variety, but if you don't like the faint flavour of boiled milk, you try their fruit flavoured varieties.

Hope you get well soon. If you have set works to learn, now is the time.

Hey Nat - you've been having a really rough time - I don't normally read this board so had no idea .............. so sorry!

I had a tooth out myself last week (just ONE lol) but can't imagine what four at once must be like.

At least if you can play things must be getting better. Can you eat fairly normal food yet? Hope that infection clears up really quickly.

best of luck -

Maggie
