Thanks again for organising it petrat biggrin.gif
sbhoa
And another good day today too.
Thanks again Petrat.
And well done to all the performers.
notmusimum

An excellent time was had by all! The ensembles were good fun!!

I thought all your singers were very brave and they all did really well. What a lovely girl your baby singer is.

I think some of the forumites are the extended family the girls don't have, thanks to you all.

Petrat we are already talking about coming back for a weekend so we'll see Eddie then. If I ever get rid of this virus.

hillyb
Had a fantastic time. Thanks, Petrat. biggrin.gif

clap.gif you did us proud Petra, thank you! A really enjoyable day on Saturday and a lovely experience playing at Plas Newydd this afternoon. Thank you ever so much for organising everything, it went brilliantly! Will load some photos soon smile.gif

Hi Ratty!

Have just got home! Thank you very much for organising such a great weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed singing Panis Angelicus accompanied by the wonderful Arwel biggrin.gif And this afternoon at the house was lovely too.

Well done to everybody who took part. It was good to see all of you again.

Thanks to The Old Lady for being good company at the B & B! And you danced very well on the table, dear! party1.gif ohmy.gif

Looking forward to Leeds now smile.gif

*Petra...thanks for your text but you sent it to my old mobile! Will PM with my new number xxx)
andante_in_c
I'm the first of the katyjay taxi service to make it home. tongue.gif

Thanks so much, petrat, for a lovely weekend. My piece of glass is now in my sitting room to remind me of the trip, but everything else is waiting to be unpacked. I enjoyed everything very much, especially the opportunity to play (and sing ohmy.gif) in Plas Newydd today.

I'm already looking forward to next year's event. biggrin.gif

What a lovely weekend smile.gif

Thank you to Petra for all her hard work organising the weekend, and to all the participants for contributing to what was a fab couple of days. Good to see sbhoa and OTHC making good progress on their clarinets, and good to meet you for the first time carys. The weekend was just so lovely, laid back and relaxed. smile.gif

notmusimum : get well soon - good to see the girls progressing well!

Like others have said above - I'm looking forward to Anglesey 2009 biggrin.gif
petrat
I am glad that you enjoyed it all. I have just got up for a hot drink after crashing out as soon as I got home. (After feeding the ponies and putting the hens to bed of course) Nice to read all of your lovely comments and to read the pms too. Thanks for helping to make it such a success everyone.

Feeling relaxed and refreshed after a good night's sleep.

Thanks to Petrat for organising a splendid weekend, with an excellent concert venue and superb evening entertainment, not to mention the pleasure of making music at Plas Newydd.

It was great to see people again, and to meet some of Petrat's pupils biggrin.gif

Looking forward to next year.
The Old Lady
Thanks very much for organizing a wonderful weekend Petra.
The whole thing was superb.
It was good to see old faces, and meet some new ones........HillyB, Carys and Over The Hill Clarinetist.
Thanks too to Daisychain for her company. Do you know, I couldn't shake her off, she followed me nearly all the way home laugh.gif ph34r.gif I managed to shake her off by sneaking off the M6 to the M5 rolleyes.gif
I don't know about dancing ON the tables, more like asleep under them tongue.gif

You seemed to be the only person out of the Benllech/Moelfre contingent who had any sense of direction, no wonder we followed you biggrin.gif Never have so many people got lost so many times in so small an area laugh.gif

Sorry to've missed it, but I got back from a 10 day work trip at 10:30 on the Thursday (complete wityh huge bag of washing) to find loads of work realted things to do - I'm afraid the thought of driving to Wales was too much. Very sorry not to attend, but also glad I had a weekend to sort myself out a bit and catch up on piano playing.

Really does sound like a good time was had by all! Well done Petrat and hopfully I'll be there next time!

You were missed StuMac! I don't blame you for not feeling like making that long journey though, straight after the work trip. Hopefully I'll see you at another event later in the year!
DaisyChain
Hello carys. It was nice to meet you on Saturday. I hope your sister hasn't had too much storm damage where they are. We have had floods and trees down a mile or two away from me, but nothing here.
petrat
Please play To a Wild Rose in Leeds Stumac. I love that piece. It would have worked so well at Plas Newydd.
barry-clari

Hi Daisychain! It was good to meet you too. It took my sister much longer to get to work this morning because of the weather, but it was fine coming home. No damage luckily. Glad you have escaped it too!

so have the garkleins stopped now wink.gif wacko.gif laugh.gif ?

The Garks were brill!! Great fun....I think they totally bemused Petrats students laugh.gif they'll probably all want to take them up. King Rat better look out laugh.gif
petrat
Luckily King Rat never has to listen to lessons as my studio is at the other end of the village! The garks were so good that the accompanist took the copies home to use in his school. Not on garks though!

My pupils had a really great time. They all loved their day out.

If anyone doesn't want their picture loading, let me know; otherwise I'll load the ones of forumites this evening smile.gif I'd better not load the ones of Petrat's students unless she tells me they've given permission.
petrat
No problem with that Skylark. They are all looking forward to seeing themselves.

They look great but the only one I know is Skylark ! Oh I think I also know KatyJay, and I assume the clarinettist is Barry ?
Miss Ross
Great pictures! smile.gif
katyjay
Great photos, Skylark. Thanks for taking them and sharing them with us.

One minor amendment to the captions, though.

The picture you've labelled as the Rasberry Band is, in fact, the world-famous Gaggle of Garkleins

And the picture of the Raspberry Band is actually labelled "Recorder Ensemble"

EDIT: Thanks for fixing those biggrin.gif
hillyb
Thanks, Skylark. The pictures are great.
hazel
Gosh those garkleins really are tiny aren't they?

The pictures look like everyone had lots of fun!

skylark
Glad you all like the pics - I ran out of time yesterday to label them all but I've done it this morning smile.gif

I'm disappointed about the people who I haven't got photos of - sorry... I didn't realise I'd be the only one taking them otherwise I'd have been more organised sad.gif

PS. Love the captions put forward for Barry's pic laugh.gif

PPS. notmumusimum - do you think your daughters could have forum names, it's a right bind (as they say in Yorkshire biggrin.gif) having to type out "notmusimum's elder/younger daughter" all the time laugh.gif

PPPS. shouldn't you change your name to "alittlebitmusimum" now tongue.gif
maggiemay
lovely pictures! thanks Skylark.

And great to 'meet' a few more faces. I'd guessed a few - and got some of them right
fsharpminor
Thats great , now I know what some of you look like ! smile.gif
Now who would I like to bang a tambourine with ???.........
