But whatever the reason, she chose to de-register without a big melodramatic statement so wouldn't it have been better to quietly respect her decision rather than making it public - especially in the current forum climate.

The fact that anyone felt the need to comment about this, or that Czerny then made a facetious comment is indicative of something said to me in a PM: namely that because members can't see your face it rather de-personalises people.

...not in my case. I've just had a PM conversation with a member that would have traditionally been the subject of a thread, but given the subject the OP (not me) felt unable to do this.

My suspected reason for Soprano de-registering is that she got another job.

The mere thought it could have been offense however is rather telling...

chervil, cress, sorrel, borage, salad burnet, chive, parsley, yoghurt, mustard, salt pepper and a chopped hard boiled egg. I've had to look up what "salad burnet" is.

We had it with schnitzel. It is nice with any sort of meat, or potatoes, or eggs, or rye bread. It'd make a killer dip.

I'd stick to parsley... not that I like hard boiled eggs. For the Pimms drinkers Borage has pretty blue flowers that have a cucumber like flavour often mixed in pimms. (Very pretty and classy).

I've got white borage flowering now in my garden smile.gif Though I think the blue might be prettier. It had never occurred to me to use the plant for anything, only the flowers blush.gif

Salad burnet is lovely - it does grow quite vigorously though (not invasively, it's just you can eat a lot lot lot of it and still have plenty left). It also has pretty red flowers that bees love.
I have sorrel growing this year, it's yummy (have the leaves in salad a lot)
maggiemay
Is burnet the one with prettily-shaped leaves? I think I've seen it, or maybe pictures.

I have something that I think may be sorrel growing in my garden: I've often wondered whether to try eating it. Any clues as to identification? It looks a bit like a smaller version of dock.

Thank you - that's very kind! Yes, the burnet is as I half-remembered. The sorrel - could be, I'm not sure. I'll get out the big gardening book and have a bit of a search before I try eating some! Anyway it's tipping down outside at the moment so it can wait!

It sounds as if you coped OK. I know what you mean, though, as I like to sort out the registration for different verses well in advance, and really hate it when the preacher suddenly decides to change the hymn mid-service!
