There are 2 violins in the window of the Cancer Research shop - why why why does my brain think oooooh I wonder how much they want for them when I have never ever had any interest in learning the violin.
Must remain strong and remember I don't have sufficient time to practise the instruments I already play.

I saw a tuba in a shop window the other day and saw the same thing.

I am not sure I have ever wanted to play the tuba?

Recently I found an old book of Musical Quotations, I have for a while been putting two at the bottom of my signature, and changing them every few days. Hope you like them. I am going to change the old ones now.

It's pretty safe. If a new instrument appears in the house in 2012 it will probably be a tenor sax (and/or a sop with a more even scale than mine).

It was due to being home alone for two days over Christmas, when I had the automatic feeder out so she could eat as much as she wanted. I did also give her the Christmas goose insides when I got back. A couple of days of short rations and she should be fine.

I can empathise - mine is putting on weight at an alarming rate. I'm learning to ignore the 'but I'm starving routine' with the amount of food I'm giving her she should be loosing weight I can only control what is in the bowl so she must be either nicking food from elsewhere or eating even more mice than I'm aware of.

The starved and neglected cat we rescued on 1st November weighed in today at five kilos - exactly the weight he should be and twice the weight he was when we picked him up. His weight will also have to be watched from now on as he has arthritis in his back legs. But he is so much better it is a delight to see!
